In 2016, my first Christmas without Avery was miserable. I was so empty. So lost. And in desperate need of community fulfillment. Before we were a Nonprofit, I was just a broken artist and angel mother looking to remember my son. Remember that he was a part of my family even from a distance. And help others do the same. After Leaves of Love that October, I launched a December initiative called The Reclaimed Memories Christmas Tree. Families submitted their babies, a theme to the ornament and the mission to reclaim their memory... To rewrite them back into our lives.
2021: Registration closed for the season
The proceeds from this project will go towards supplies needed to complete the ornaments (Ornament paper, Christmas cards, twine, stamps, photo printing, etc.)
Any remaining money will be used to purchase various Christmas gifts that will be used to raffle off! Such items may include: Angel themed gifts, self-care items, home décor, Winter items and general “pick-me-up” treasures.
We will post the gifts as they are purchased to show what you may have the chance to win through the raffle. More information will be provided here and on our social media platforms during the holiday season.
All remaining proceeds continue to help Avery’s Garden continue to grow.
General timeline
1. Submissions accepted for an ornament now through December 31, 2021.
2. January 1, 2022 we will announce our raffle winners!
3. Mailing will be asap except for the last tier as we must complete the project to mail the commemorative print.
