Heart signs can be a blessing to the hurting in our hearts. One thing that often brings me comfort is to look for hearts in nature and to see signs around me. I was never as observant as I am today, and that is a good thing.

I went outside in the back of my yard for a few minutes. The moment I stepped outside I could hear my cardinal singing to me. I looked over to the tree two houses down and there he was. His beautiful red silhouette looking towards me. I walked over by Avery's Garden and when I turned around my cardinal was gone. Something told me to look down towards my feet. That's when I saw it. A heart looking back at me in a feather. I picked it up and smiled because I knew the message. That day was International Day of Peace.
